Award Winning Health Solicitors

Swain & Co solicitors have been awarded a Legal Aid Contract to deliver specialist legal aid advice in relation to community care law in Hampshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. Their senior partner, Graeme Swain, said, “This recognises our specialist expertise in relation to healthcare issues and the fact that we offer a “one stop shop” in relation to medical mistakes, community care, mental health and related issues. We have offices in the Southampton and Portsmouth areas”
Graeme Swain is pictured above with a painting by a local artist entitled “Force your Goal”. The painting has been adopted by the firm as an image designed to draw to the attention of people their right to a proper standard of care in the community and proper standards of medical care generally. Graeme Swain said, “The number of medical mistakes is quite horrific and ones that come to light are the tip of the iceberg. There is still a culture of not owning up and of not giving a prompt and clear explanation of what happened. The result is that many people come to us in a state of anguish and disgust.”
Swain & Co can advise in relation to all aspects of health care and their service is very much aimed at the elderly. Unfortunately the elderly make greater use of the health service and have a greater need for community care. The Swain & Co service is not, however, confined to the elderly and their expertise extends to care for younger people including specialist advice in relation to community care and education issues.
Graeme Swain is a member of the Law Society specialist panel of clinical negligence lawyers and is also a member of the equivalent panel operated by Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA).
Graeme Swain deals with cases throughout Hampshire and beyond. He can be contacted at Swain & Co on freephone 0800 035 1999.
