We acted for Mr & Mrs Phillips who have two sons, the eldest of whom has autism. They were living in a two-bedroom property, and the lack of space was causing considerable difficulties for the whole family, especially their youngest son who had to share a room with his brother.
They applied to be placed on the New Forest District Council housing register, but had been placed in the lowest possible band. This meant that they were unlikely to be successful in moving to a larger, more suitable property. They spent over a year trying to negotiate with New Forest District Council - even getting the local MP involved - all to no avail.
