It has been reported that Myleene Klass has politely asked her estranged husband, Graham Quinn, to avoid a long, drawn our battle over her £12 million fortune.
Myleene and Graham married last year after spending 11 years together and having 2 children, but announced their split last month.
According to the reports, Myleene is prepared to offer Graham half of their joint assets, including profit on their £2.5 million home, but will fight to keep her self made fortune as he has earned his own money from his security business, which has done very well.
However, Graham could be entitled to a third of her money.
We can’t help but advocate pre-nuptial agreements, although not technically legally binding, they have more weight in Courts than they used to.
Divorce is such an emotionally charged time, and when there are children involved their welfare should be paramount. All too often we see divorces ‘get messy’ that couples often think that this is the only way to end a marriage. However, it is better for a family and the estranged couple if an amicable agreement can be reached.
Is there such thing as a friendly divorce?
Swain & Co. think so.
We offer family mediation to help couples reach an amicable agreement on finances and children whilst obtaining a divorce without the traditional court proceedings.
With children involved, it is even more important for Myleene and Graham to remain civil and establish a new relationship as parents who are not together as the parenting part of their relationship will continue despite the legal dissolution of their relationship.
If you would prefer to save money and avoid court proceedings, or would like to end a marriage as amicably as possible, talk to Samantha Lee about Mediation on 02392 492967
