Today is a sad day. Today we say goodbye to Helen Fanning.
The office is a little quiet, and sombre today. Not only is Helen leaving Swain & Co Solicitors for pastures new, she is relocating too.
Many of us in the firm have worked with Helen for most, or all, of her near 9 years with us.
Many of us are lucky enough to call her a friend as well as a colleague.
What makes the loss harder still is not only is Helen leaving the firm, she is also relocating with her beautiful family – 200 miles away.
So, although we are so very sad to see Helen leave, we are also really excited for the new adventure for her and her family.
We mark the occasion with an afternoon tea style lunch. With vintage crockery, gold art deco accents and of course cake!
Samantha Lee gave a small speech to thank Helen for all her hard work. The many audits she helped us through, office moves and reshuffles she coordinated, and the advice and guidance she very often provided to staff.
Samantha also presented Helen with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and a new bag for her new job.
Colleagues presented her with a hamper of goodies to spoil herself with, and take to her new job. She particularly likes her pink sparkly pen!
At risk of making Helen even more emotional when she reads this, we really are going to miss her. The office is going to be so different without her.
And we are really sorry we made you cry.
But, we hope we showed you how special you are to Swain & Co Solicitors.
Instead of goodbye, let’s say ‘See you soon Helen’.
And, don’t be a stranger!
