NHS reforms are likely to lead to more litigation

The reforms are proposing handing responsibility to local authorities for public health, including reducing obesity, managing mental health services and sexual health. Warnings have also been issued that local authorities will face legal difficulties.

With budget cuts on the NHS and rising consumer expectations, it has been warned that there will be more tension, more litigation and more disputes as a result.

It is believed there will be tensions with local authorities and GPs over control, as well as clinical commissioning groups and local authorities.

Swain & Co. have been concerned over the reforms as it could lead to the central role of caring for patients being neglected and vital money being wasted on internal wranglings and administration.

We are specialists in Clinical Negligence claims and are actively aware that without clear and agreed lines of decision making and responsibility medical mistakes are more likely.

If you think your care has been neglected, you may have a case of medical negligence. Call our expert team of lawyers who deal with medical negligence cases Nationwide, offer free initial consultations and can act on a no win no fee basis. Call Graeme Swain on our free phone number 0800 0351 999.
