Domestic Violence
If you are suffering domestic violence or emotional abuse at the hands of your partner or a family member you will require prompt and effective action. At Swain & Co we have a large team of experienced Family Lawyers ready to act on your behalf.
Emergency action can mean obtaining your instructions and going to court the same day whether to protect you and your children through an injunction or to obtain an order that your partner must leave your home immediately. In some circumstances it is not necessary to inform your partner of the court proceedings until after the steps required to protect you have already been taken.
Legal Aid (also known as public funding) is available to apply for injunctions and when appropriate can be granted by us without delay to ensure emergency situations can be dealt with.
