Swain & Co Solicitors – Helping great causes

Our clients are the centre of what we do. We try to help as much as possible.

It is why we act purely for individuals. It’s an important choice and statement of Swain & Co Solicitors.

It means we can give each client the time and attention they need.

We care about you and what is important to you. You will be listened to.

Our prison law department work for many transgender clients. So, they identified that transgender prisoners often don’t have the clothes they need.

So, our lovely receptionist Lyn contacted all staff. She asked us to donate female clothes for transgender prisoners.

We received a letter of thanks from the prison we donated to. The clothes we had gathered and sent in have been given to transgender prisoners.

Dean Kingham, the Head of Prison Law says,

“The ability to live in role greatly varies from prison to prison. It is largely as a result of a number of establishments not having experience of managing transgender prisoners. We are always looking to ensure prisons develop their approach to transgender prisoners to ensure they can properly live in role and transition with access to appropriate make up, wigs and clothes. When we aware the prison would benefit from the clothes, we were only too happy to help."
