Kelly Applegate is a Family Solicitor here at Swain & Co Solicitors.
Kelly’s empathy towards her clients means they trust her to protect their best interests. She is robust to defend those interests too.
Kelly qualified as a solicitor in 2000. She enjoyed family law from the start and her training and previous work experience centred on this.
Kelly joined Swain & Co Solicitors in 2016, after enjoying time raising her children. Kelly wanted flexibility in her work to fit around family life, so Swain & Co was a perfect choice.
When asked why she chose Swain & Co Solicitors on returning to practicing law, Kelly says,
“I like the ethos at Swain’s. They are family orientated and offered me the ability to strike a good work / life balance. This is so essential for parents returning to work.”
Since joining us, she has achieved membership to the Law Society’s Advanced Family Law Panel. She has shown that she has a deep level of knowledge and competence in specialist areas of family law. These areas were child arrangements and domestic abuse and violence.
Kelly works in our family law department helping people with:
- Financial settlements arising from divorce
- Child arrangements, arising from relationship breakdown
- Separation following cohabitation
- Domestic abuse and domestic violence
Outside of work Kelly is busy with her family enjoying days out and concerts where possible. When times allows, she enjoys travelling.
