Nicola Bevan has a keen interest in advocating for our society’s most vulnerable people and challenging miscarriages of justice.
In 2017, Nicola graduated from University of Portsmouth with a 2:1 LLB Law with International Relations. Her dissertation examined the rights of refugee families in the UK, with criticism of the UK government’s procedures and approaches.
She developed keen interests in public and criminal law through her study.
Following her hard work at University, Nicola spent a year travelling and living in New Zealand.
Nicola is proud of her heritage and being half Filipino, and she has a passion for environmental issues.
She has spent considerable time in the Philippines. Whilst there she:
- Volunteered with disadvantaged children
- Volunteered with young offenders
- Helped to establish the charity OneVisayas which is dedicated to helping farmers to learn sustainable and eco-friendly farming methods
