Thomas Eacott is a Paralegal in the Housing Law Department based at our Havant office.
Thomas works on cases involving possession proceedings and eviction, anti-social behaviour, housing disrepair, and homelessness. He attends Portsmouth County Court as part of the Housing Possession Court Duty Scheme, helping those facing eviction and repossession of their property.
Thomas studied Law at the University of Sussex and graduated in the summer of 2018. He then attended the University of Law in Guildford where he completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC). After completing his studies, Thomas joined Swain & Co Solicitors in March 2020.
At university, Thomas was a member of the Housing Law Clinic and provided advice on a range of housing law matters; including possession proceedings, deposit disputes and neighbourhood nuisance. Thomas also worked with Justlife in Brighton and provided legal help to clients living in temporary accommodation.
Before starting his legal career, Thomas had previously worked within local government. He has experience working with clients who have learning disabilities and mental health conditions.
Outside of work, Thomas enjoys spending time with family & friends. He has played the guitar since school and enjoys going to music festivals & concerts.
